The Experience

Arrival Night in Panama City

Arrival Night in Panama City

Arriving in the afternoon, you’ll have the perfect amount of time to settle in and get a taste of Panama City’s vibrant charm. We'll to the historic Casco Viejo neighborhood for a delicious meal at one of its many unique restaurants. Stroll the cobblestone streets, soak in the rich history, and savor the atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before we depart on Day 2, we'll take a short trip up to Cerro Ancón Hill to enjoy sweeping views of the city skyline and the Panama Canal before heading to our remote island retreat.

Bocas del Toro

Bocas del Toro

On Day 2, we'll fly as a group from the PAC airport to the airport in Bocas del Toro. This is only a 45 minute flight! We won't be on Bocas long; our private boat will pick us up to take us to our remote island Eco-Resort (a 35-40 minute boat ride)! On the last day of the retreat, we'll take the boat back to Bocas and fly back to Panama City together.

Digital Detox

Digital Detox

This is your chance to recharge! Give yourself a mental refresh through connection to yourself, others and the environment around you. Research has shown us over and over again that disconnecting from our devices more often: - Benefits our sleep cycles - Increases positive self talk - Promotes healthier eating habits - Decreases anxiety & depression - Leads to more productive days at work There are no rules. You choose what amount of detox works best for where you are, in your life, at this time.

A True Retreat

A True Retreat

This retreat is a true escape; a chance to pause the noise of daily life and create space for yourself. It’s an opportunity to step away from the constant demands and distractions, allowing you to fully immerse in the present moment. Surrounded by nature and beauty, you’ll have the time and environment to reconnect with your thoughts, reflect on what matters most, and simply be.

Movement Sessions

Movement Sessions

Panama's nurturing tropical environment provides an excellent container to reconnect with yourself while moving your body. Sessions will take place in a beautiful open-air shala, surrounded by lush foliage. We are experienced instructors and will challenge you, no matter your level (all levels welcome). Props will be used for support, resistance, massage and strength building.

Pescatarian Meals

Pescatarian Meals

As much food as possible is sourced from the surrounding areas. This means that dishes with coconut, limes, cacao, coffee, greens and even organic wine are all from nearby! Sustainably caught seafood comes from the surrounding waters and is delivered fresh to the kitchen daily. Expect a passion-filled dining experience, 3 course dinners and both Panamanian and global cuisine! There is a full bar with service all day, so if you'd like a drink brought to you while you read a book on the dock, you're in luck! Dietary needs can be accommodated, but please be aware that nuts and gluten ARE used in the kitchen.

Off-the-beaten path

Off-the-beaten path

Bastimentos is an island in the Bocas del Toro region (or collection of islands), in the Northeast corner of Panama. There is a clinic and a small hospital on Bocas Island, which is a 35-40 minute boat ride from the Eco-Lodge. This is a destination for those who like a bit of adventure; there are no big hotels, resorts or big-city amenities here.

Snorkeling

Snorkeling

We head out together to explore a vibrant reef, just a quick 25-minute boat ride from our Eco-resort. Along the way, we’ll keep an eye out for dolphins; sometimes they swim right alongside the boat! Once we arrive, we’ll dive into a colorful underwater world filled with soft corals, sponges, and fascinating marine life like octopus, jellyfish, crabs, sea cucumbers, and starfish. It’s going to be an unforgettable adventure!

Hiking

Hiking

Right on the Eco-resort property is the start of a scenic loop through the lush jungle. We adventure together and keep our eyes open for poison dart frogs, sloths hanging in the trees, playful monkeys, and an array of colorful birds. We even get to enjoy fresh coconut water straight from a coconut. It’s the perfect way to explore, recharge, and share an unforgettable experience in nature!

Village Visit

Village Visit

A highlight of our retreat eco-experience is connecting with the people and traditions of the neighboring Ngäbe-Buglé indigenous village. This vibrant community is home to the employees of the resort and their families, and visiting is a core component of our time on the island. We'll enjoy a guided tour and boat ride through the stunning mangrove channel to reach the village, offering a glimpse into this special place and its rich culture.

Chocolate Farm Tour

Chocolate Farm Tour

Explore the magic of an organic cacao farm where cacao trees thrive sustainably under the jungle canopy, free of pesticides and fertilizers. Witness the full chocolate-making process, from harvesting vibrant cacao pods to fermenting, drying, and roasting the beans, all while surrounded by lush scenery. Along the way, spot wildlife like white-faced capuchins and western night monkeys that live among the groves. Savor the rich flavors of locally crafted chocolate and gain a deeper appreciation for this timeless treat.

Weather

Weather

Panama lies outside of the hurricane belt. February is part of the dry season, so expect hot, sunny weather! We will be on the edge of a rainforest, which means brief rain showers are possible.

We Give Back

We Give Back

5% of profit from this experience will go straight to Floating Doctors. Floating Doctors is a nonprofit organization that provides free healthcare services, education, and medical outreach to remote and underserved coastal communities, primarily in Central America and the Caribbean. On the island of Bastimentos, they are working to build a medical clinic in a remote village (the same village we visit)!

Tiffany Ingersoll

Tiffany Ingersoll

Tiffany Ingersoll has been teaching movement since 2008.

She is a National Pilates Certified Teacher, trained by Balanced Body.

Additionally, she is an experienced certified yoga teacher with extensive training and teaching experience.

Tiffany is certified to teach various forms of yoga, including Hatha yoga, hot yoga, Embodied Yoga, Chair Yoga, Gentle Yoga, and Restorative Yoga.

She is also a certified Pre/Postnatal Corrective Exercise Specialist and an educator in breath and fascial release techniques.

Tiffany is an educator and movement/body nerd at heart, dedicated to helping each student understand the complex patterns ingrained in their bodies.

She identifies which patterns disrupt balance, leading to pain or dysfunction.

Through her guidance, students begin to unwind these patterns, repattern, and reintegrate into the greater body systems.

In 2010, Tiffany's younger sister suffered a broken neck, intensifying Tiffany's commitment to therapeutic and rehabilitative movement.

Since then, she has worked with individuals dealing with spinal cord injuries, joint replacements, chronic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, and those seeking to improve their quality of life.

Tiffany is endlessly passionate about understanding the human body's design and functionality. Above all, she believes her students are her greatest teachers. Travel is another love of Tiffany’s.

She has debuted as a scuba dive instructor, skipper, Wilderness First Responder, adventure seeker, always pushing herself to get out of her comfort zone.

Lindsay Eldridge

Lindsay Eldridge

Lindsay has been leading groups since 2003. Her passion for adventure and travel is apparent in her pure joy with planning and implementing these activities.

She worked for Broadreach for over 7 years, an educational adventure program where students travel all over the world.

While there, she scouted new destinations, trained instructors, coordinated logistics, and led transformative experiences.

Outside of work, she pursued her love of Pilates, which has become a central part of her life.

In 2014, Lindsay began teaching Pilates and went on to get her comprehensive certification (500+ hours training).

All her time at a desk and carrying heavy backpacks in the Wilderness had worn on her body.

Pilates turned out to be the answer to her herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, hip pain, sciatica, diastasis and more.

Lindsay will be teaching a handful of movement sessions during the retreat. Her primary focus, however, is making sure all of the logistics run smoothly while in Panama!

You cannot ask her enough questions, so please feel free to chat with her as much as you'd like to about the trip!
